The 9th China Food Safety Annual Meeting was Held in Beijing

On November 12-13, 2011, the 9th China Food Safety Annual Meeting was held in Beijing. The meeting was co-supported by Food Safety Commission of the State Council (FSC) and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and was co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, General Administration of Customs, State Administration of Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, State Food and Drug Administration, and China Food Industry Association. The main theme of this meeting is “Ensuring Food Safety, Constructing Harmonious Society”. The annual meeting was co-supported by Food Safety Commission of the State Council (FSC) and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, General Administration of Customs, State Administration of Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, State Food and Drug Administration, and China Food Industry Association, and solely undertaken by China's food safety newspaper.

 

For the past few years, highly valued by the CPC central committee and the state council and under the joint efforts of parties concerned, the food safety work was strengthened and the situation of food safety was generally stable. However, the basis of food safety was still weak and food safety issues happened occasionally, which was a big concern to the masses. With the improvement of people’s lively hood, people’s requirements for food safety grow gradually, and they place more hope on food safety. During the two-day meeting, the representatives presented has learned and implemented the spirits of leaders’ speeches seriously, and made deep discussions on further increasing the supervision level of food safety, strengthening the position that food enterprises take the first responsibility for food safety, improving consumers’ consciousness on food safety and prevent ability against risks, promoting the rapid and sound development of China’s food industry, how to further improve our food safety level and other issues.

 

An Lijun, General Manager of JK Sucralose, participated in this 9th China Food Safety Annual Meeting. In the meeting, he introduced to the representatives participated about the efforts JK Sucralose had made to guarantee food safety and exchanged opinions on food safety issue with them.
